Robert Long is Chairman and CEO of Westbourne Investments Inc. He was Chairman and CEO of Ariba Asset Management, a predecessor investment advisory firm, prior to the merger with Westbourne in 2012.
Bob is a Chartered Investment Analyst and a member of the CFA Institute, an international association of chartered securities analysts. He was president of the Washington Society of Investment Analysts and was secretary of Washington Mutual Investors Fund, a large mutual fund associated with the American Funds. He has been a principal, officer, and director of two New York Stock Exchange member firms, Johnston, Lemon & Company Inc. and Ferris Baker Watts Inc. Bob has been active in corporate finance and venture capital and has served as Chairman and CEO of two of the companies financed, Southern Starr Broadcasting Group, Inc. and Business News Network, Inc.
Bob has served on the boards of directors of several private and public companies, including AMBASE Corporation, Allied Capital Corporation and Insituform East, Inc. He is a graduate of Indiana University (Economics) and holds a JD degree from the George Washington School of Law. Club memberships include The Metropolitan Club of Washington, D.C., Columbia Country Club of Chevy Chase, MD. Has has been active in the Kiwanis Club and the Cogswell Society of Washington, D.C.
